Ian has a background in kickboxing and boxing. After moving to the US from the Philippines in 1992, he added weightlifting to his routine. Ian started taking yoga classes to balance out his other workouts and improve flexibility. He soon discovered that he really enjoyed yoga. He has been practicing regularly since 2000 and teaching since 2007. Ian has attended workshops with Kathleen Kastner and Wade Mortenson. He has also attended trainings with Rolf Gates and completed a Practical Yoga Instructor Training with the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America.
Ian primarily teaches power Vinyasa classes based on Ashtanga techniques and poses and hot yoga classes. He enjoys helping people and watching them improve through their personal practice.
