On my very first day of on-ramp the topic of eating Paleo came up and since I had no clue what eating Paleo was I asked a few questions about what that involved and I was surprised by the answers I got.  How can dairy and whole grains be bad for you, my doctors and parents have always told me dairy and whole grains were good for me? In fact I was always told I needed to eat more of them to be healthy.  At this point I was tired of counting calories and needed something different, so after doing some research I thought I would give Paleo a try.  The problem was that I didn’t quite know where to start so I kept putting it off.  So I continued to count calories and do CrossFit, this was helping me from gaining weight and sure I was getting stronger but, I was not losing weight and I still felt weak and tired all the time.  So I saw the Paleo Lifestyle Challenge as the perfect opportunity to try something new.

I was surprised at the results I saw in just the first two weeks, my clothes began to fit better, I did not feel tired all the time, and I just felt good.  People at work even noticed a change in my attitude and asked me why I have been so happy lately.  I admit this was not easy and I did have a few temptations but I did not let those temptations get the best of me.
